1. Bachelor’s Degree.

Business related courses are also encouraged since your main responsibility is to achieve high sales. Even if you already have a background in customer service and pharmaceutics, learning doesn’t stop once you get a job. The National Association of Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives (NAPR) offer programs to improve your knowledge regarding FDA rules and regulations, laws and ordinances in the pharmaceutical industry, anatomy and physiology, terms in pharmacology and etc. You can avail this in certain school and colleges or check their website on how to participate in the online training program.
Once you completed the Pharmaceutical Skills Training Program conducted by (NAPR), you can now apply to become a Certified Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Aside from this, you also need to pass an examination formulated by the association. Obtaining a certification entitles you to gain benefits offered by the association. This could also increase your job opportunities and chances of attaining promotions. Remember that not all Pharmaceutical Sales Reps are certified.
6. Hard work and perseverance.
