Education
- The minimum requirement is at least a high school diploma or a GED.
- Finish an accredited training program in real estate within your state. These trainings are available in real estate schools, vocational schools or community colleges.
- A bachelor’s degree in fields like business, economics and law are equally helpful but would still require you to have a more focused education in real estate for an average of 90 training hours
Licensure & Experience
- In the US, real estate brokers are required to be licensed. To become eligible, you would need to present documentation that you have previous training and background in real estate. Most states require at least 1-3 years experience as a real estate agent. However, if you have a bachelor’s degree in real estate, you are free to take the licensure exam without work experience.
